L Shaped Sound and Voicescape

  • The Conservatoire, Blackheath 19-21 Lee Road London, England, SE3 9RQ United Kingdom (map)

Theme:

This session will focus on creating a L-shaped Sound and Voicescape, which is a semi-structured improvisation, designed to meet us where we are energetically in that moment, and bring us down  to a state of relaxation

Beginning with a vocal exercises, warm-ups and rhythm games to bring us together and find our voices, the group will then work together to create a soundscape that reflects our present energetic state, then gently and gradually bring ourselves down to a lovely, relaxed state and into stillness and silence.

We will be using a range of different instruments and vocal techniques. I will provide a selection of instruments that are accessible and easy to play, including percussion, drums, bowls, chimes and more.

Benefits:

Group sound and voice activities offer so many benefits to health and wellbeing, including enjoyment, creativity, expression, relaxation, community building, improved mental health, relaxation, deep breathing, exercising the mind, building relationships, and sharing something beautiful!

Fully booked!
